From Expert and Experienced Yoga Teacher

Throughout the ages, Yoga has demonstrated its healing properties for the body, mind and spirit. No matter who you are. No matter where you are in your life. No matter the physical, mental or spiritual challenges you face, you can practice yoga. With dedication and time, you too will experience yoga’s transformative power.

Yogashala strives to provide an authentic and pure presentation of Hatha yoga, the yoga of our ancestors under which all forms of physical posture (asana) practices reside. Beyond complementing and elevating your practice with demonstrations of different asanas, the equally important purpose of this website is to facilitate understanding of the philosophy that serves as the foundation of all yoga. Additional resources related to pranayama, Dhyana and shat karma are also presented.

Embarking on a transformative journey that harmoniously intertwined with my cultural roots, my yoga odyssey began as a serene exploration of self-discovery and spiritual enlightenment. The essence of yoga, deeply ingrained in my heritage, found its way into my life at the tender age of 11, casting the initial seeds of a lifelong practice. Guided by the radiant presence of my younger brother, Sabin, we delved into the multifaceted dimensions of Dhyan, Pranayama, Mantra Chanting, and Shlokas, laying the groundwork for a profound connection with ancient yogic traditions.
As the years unfolded, the call to delve deeper into the realm of yoga grew stronger. At the age of 13, a pivotal moment arrived when Raja Yoga Meditation beckoned, drawing me to a nearby meditation center. It was under the tender guidance of my brother, Sabin, that I embarked on this path, igniting the first embers of a transformative journey. The pursuit of inner stillness and self-awareness guided my footsteps through the corridors of this meditation sanctuary.
A significant turning point unveiled itself when I embraced the intensive "5 Year Self-Transformation and Leadership Program," orchestrated by the revered Dr. Yogi Vikasananda. This immersive expedition of the soul granted me unfettered access to the intricate tapestry of yoga's facets: asanas that celebrated the symphony of body and breath, the sublime art of pranayama, the profound depths of Dhyana, the purifying practices of shat karma, and the philosophical underpinnings that lent profound meaning to each posture. These transformative teachings were further augmented by the wisdom bestowed by the saga of Mahabharata, enriching my understanding of life's profound intricacies.
The enlightening insights that graced my journey ushered in a profound spiritual awakening, punctuating each facet of my personal existence. The radiant beacon of knowledge led me to the realm of Reiki, a time-honored alternative healing therapy. Under the nurturing guidance of Guruma Kamaleshwari, I delved into the sacred realms of Reiki, journeying through its levels with reverence and wonder. The spectrum of healing light and energy wove seamlessly into my growing tapestry of holistic understanding.
As the chapters of my yogic expedition continued to unfold, the vibrant realm of teaching beckoned. With zeal and dedication, I pursued a Yoga Alliance Teachers Training, swiftly followed by a transformative 200-hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training in the hallowed precincts of Mysore, India. This juncture marked the seamless integration of my personal and professional ardor, a testament to the inextricable bond between my soul and the practice of yoga.
Guided by a fervor to share the blessings bestowed by my journey, I stepped into the role of a teacher, gracing various yoga schools and studios in my homeland, Nepal. Fueling the flames of my commitment, I delved further into the tapestry of knowledge, embracing a comprehensive 500-hour Yoga Teachers Training. Each layer of learning, each mindful breath, unfolded as a tribute to the enduring legacy of yoga, a journey that continues to unfold, enriching not only my life but the lives of those I touch with my teachings.
Namaste!
